Hey,

I’m from the UK and I’m hoping to study for my Masters/Postgraduate Diploma in Canada next year.

Does anybody know of any scholarships available to British students for this purpose?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!
@Louise: Thanks for you answer. I plan on studying either English at MA level or Journalism for a Postgraduate Diploma. I’d be looking to study English at any east coast university and Journalism most likely at Concordia in Montreal.

Are you comfortable telling what you want to study?

My impression is that there aren’t very many scholarships for graduate study that aren’t earmarked for Canadians, but that in some fields there is a lot of funding that comes as a teaching assistantship or research assistantship, meaning that you do some work for it.

For an English Major it might be harder to find. You will also have to provide proof, possibly post a financial bond, that you can support yourself while in Canada, and be accepted for a student visa in order to come here. You cannot work on a student visa so if finances are a problem you probably wont be accepted.
