i am currently studying for a ba hons drama degree, and will be graduating this year.

next september i want to enroll in the MA dramatherapy course at anglia ruskin university, which is where i am currently studying.

does anyone know if the government will fund this the same as they have my BA?
does this course fall under the nhs/social services courses cos if so the nhs pay for it!

any helkp and info on this will help as its a two year course and i cant afford, nor my family, to fund this degree myself and its the only job i want to do

thank you anyone in advance
im currently studying in the uk, so uk only answers pls

As for the first part of your question, here’s how financial aid works in graduate school. You need to fill out a fafsa form like you probably have done in the past. When you are completing any degree, we’ll use BA for example, every student is allowed $40,000ish from federal loans, just like there’s a maximum for the amount of grant money every student is allowed. Now typically, depending on how how you have your repayment process setup they eventually start looking for money to payback for those loans, however, if you start graduate school you become eligible for an entirely separate federal stafford loan only available for students at the graduate level. There are also grants and from what I’ve read the amounts are higher than that of the undergraduate funds. I learned that if you do start graduate school either right after your finished undergrad or within a short time period you will not be pushed into repayment on your BA! Whether your schooling will be finished at the MA level or beyond you won’t be required to repay on your loans until you are out of school completely. Keep in mind though, this is not the case if you decide to take a break from school and then go back. It’s then that AES starts hounding you for their money. Often graduate programs have their own stipends for teaching assistants and other available funding for students in need. I’m sorry I can not help you with the rest of your question but I do hope that I helped clear up some questions you had. Take care.
