I think that is because younger people in college are indoctrinated by their liberal professors. As you grow older and go back to school you can see through the teachers political rants. I am college educated and my wife is pursuing her PHD in Mathematics currently. We are both conservative.

That is just not true. Every poll ever conducted shows that the more money one makes, the more likely they vote Republican. Its also true about education.

The more time you spend around liberal professors with your very future depending on your agreeing with their ideas, at least long enough to parrot them for the exam to get a passing grade, the more completely some of their ideas will stick, indoctrinating you to their beliefs regardless of how poorly their ideas work in the real world.

Actually I find that the most educated of people tend to be Libertarians or Independents.

If you take out the soft, easy majors like English, Art, Communications and so on and include the real Science Degrees most of us lean in the Independent/Libertarian direction.

I attempted to track down the "Survey" data for the types of questions asked in the Poll. Could not. Therefore, I have no means to determine the validity or unbiased nature of the questions asked. These Polls are valid ONLY if the questions are not slanted or prejudiced.
Secondly, I see no purpose in such a Poll, as other than useful to Demographic needs for businesses. Other than that, this type of misinformation only "fractures" and divides the country more. Useless information.

Andrew Carnegie believed that to be successful, you only need to be right 51% of the time. Yet, how many truly successful people have such a dismal success rate? Certainly not the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

If by voting for 0bama, the liberals proved their point, I wonder if there’s a correlation between advanced education and the ability to shoot straight. Certainly the next revolution will side advanced education liberals against patriots who wish to take back their country.

First of all, a ’survey’ is not a scientific study, so right off the bat it has no credibility with me. How were those who were sampled selected? Who did the surveys? How do we know that those being surveyed were honest in reporting their level of education? How do we know the credibility of those who conducted the survey? How do we know proper steps were taken to elimnate any confimation biases? There is also research out there that shows conservatives are usually more education than liberals. Hollywood is the epicenter of liberalism and many actors and actresses are high school, (and in many cases), elementary school dropouts. I really couldn’t care less about a survey. I’d only be interested in a scientific study conducted by an independent organization that followed scientific methods in doing research. Now, these people who were surveyed, did they earn their degrees from brick & mortar universities? Or did they get mail-order degrees from some diploma mill, or one of these so-called ‘on-line’ universities set up in the corner of some bank building where they give life experience credit and open-book, multiple choice exams? I’m a conservative and I fly jets. I also have two bachlor’s degrees and I’m only a year away from finishing dual master’s; one a MBA and the other a MEC from an AACSB accredited university. All of my degrees are REAL and were earned the old fashioned way; sitting in a brick & mortar classroom. With all these on-line universities out there, (most of them not even accredited and the few that are accredited are done so by phony organizations), I’m skeptical when someone tells me they have a college degree because very few people actually have REAL degrees. By the way, gallup is one of the most inaccurate polsters around, if that’s where it came from….The way you presented the survey results, you are making a personal inference about the education levels. Was this poll just to see if there was a corelation between education level and liking Obama, or comparing education levels with ideologies? Of the 25,000 who were polled, how many were democrats? Did they make sure they polled 12,500 democrats and 12,500 republicans? I’m a political scientist and have been trained in conducting surveys and research and I see a lot of possible problems with this so-called survey that could significantly skew the results.
